My next review on this blog is of Vitavana™ Krill Oil and Life and Food Omega-3 Supreme 1400 mg Fish Oil Concentrate. I am having my dad test these items out because he is a regular user of fish oil and I thought that it would be nice for him to try different brands of supplements.
Omega-3 fatty acids, are abundant in Vitavana's Krill Oil. They have been shown to slow the rate by which our body ages at the cellular level -- thereby reducing inflammation, easing joint pain, improving cardiovascular health, eye and skin health, and brain function. A diet rich in the essential fatty acids (EFA's) contained in Vitavana Krill Oil can increase your health and well-being. Vitavana Krill Oil fatty acids are vital to nervous system health, ensuring all body systems and brain functions run smoothly.
Life and Food describes their Fish Oil as being highly concentrated and pure, pharmaceutical grade with 644/336 EPA/DHA levels (which meets GOED standards). Their fish Oil concentrate made from IFOS 5-star certified fish oils contains the minimum recommended 1,000 mg of Omega-3s per serving. Their fish oil is sustainably sourced from wild Alaskan caught Pollock which is then molecularly distilled, clean refined and tested. The soft gelatin capsules are easy to swallow, have no fish burps and are coated with enteric for maximum absorption.
I was very pleased to receive these supplements because my father is very conscious of his health and does the best he can to keep it in good shape. He uses both of these products for his overall health, but lately I have been concerned with his eye health and I can honestly say that these products are helping him greatly. I had never heard of krill oil before and I did a lot of research to find out if there were any significant differences between it and fish oil. Both krill and fish oil provide nearly the same benefits for your skin, eyes, and brain! The only difference that I found was the smell. My father tells me that he likes both equally and I am very glad to hear that! After he finishes up these bottles, I do plan on buying more for him to use.
