Reviews: Essential Oils - Part 1

My next review on this blog is of a few essential oils that I have received: Natural Lavender Essential Oil  and 5x Extra Strength Lemon Essential Oil

GoPure Naturals describes their Lavender Oil as 100% Pure Essential Oil - Gentle and More Effective. Lavender Oil is known as to helping to improve mood, fight insomnia, calm the mind and neutralize stress and anxiety. LiftCare describes their Lemon Oil as a powerfully fresh traditional lemon fragrance that is quite energizing and up-lifting. When the skin becomes oily, lemon oil provides a natural tonifier, balancing and rejuvenating the skin when used properly.

I did not know how to use these oils, so I went to google and found an awesome article that gave me many ideas to work with for these oils! The article Oils Explained: Essential Oils and Carrier Oils For Hair has great tips for using essential and carrier oils. The writer of this article says that Lavender Oil is "a good treatment for dandruff and itching, helpful in controlling hair breakage and improving hair growth. Most widely known to treat alopecia areata, a condition where you lose excessive hair, especially in patches. Daily massage with lavender oil has proven to help significant re-growth and gives you the results in a few months" and that Lemon Oil is great for "oily hair, it is recommended that persons with dry hair not use lemon oil, it is a good treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice, and under-active sebaceous glands."

I am a big fan of natural products, especially natural oils and butters like coconut oil, shea/cocoa butter, tea tree oil, and olive oil, so I was very excited to receive these items! I am specifically using these items for various uses on my skin and hair. I am using the Lavender Essential Oil to prevent dandruff on my scalp and I am using the Lemon Essential Oil to lighten scars on my face and my skin. I am getting in a shipment of shea butter soon and I plan on making special shea butter whips to moisturize my hair and skin!

Best wishes & Xoxo,
